Reindeer Farming

There are two reindeer farms in Greenland. The largest one, Isortoq Reindeer Station, is in the district of Qaqortoq and slaughters approximately 2.000 domestic reindeer per year at its own slaughterhouse. The slaughterhouse meets the demands for export to the EU. Isortoq Reindeer Station also has an authorisation for trophy hunting for domestic reindeer.

The other farm, Tuttutooq, is in Kujalleq Municipality.
